Run multiple DSPs at the same time.

What the point to run multiple DSP's and ad networks at the same time, for example Moloco, Liftoff, Applovin, Unity, Iron Source and etc. Isn't they all have similar traffic just different technology and in the end you just create additional competition for yourself?

Or it would make sense to run with different strategy like one CPA optimisation, another ROAS?

For my campaign when I was running Liftoff + Iron Source, most of the IS conversions would have Liftoff as assisted install.

I have personally test this and what we did is to block placements between them so we were sure that our ads were not competing against themselves in any of the DSPs that we were running at the same time (applovin, moloco, unity)

We improved subscriber CAC by 40% with that change with a controlled spend but we really suffered when we tried to scale since we were avoiding big publishers in every DSP.

How did you manage to avoid big publishers? Axon from Applovin doesn't allow to remove publishers, and Unity doesn't disclose real publisher id. Pretty clear with the DSP and Iron Source though, but I probably missing some information about Axon/Unity :) Thanks a lot for your comment !
