Professional/Work meta-accounts

Hey guys,

I’ve found a Meta help page that says there are professional Meta accounts and explains how to set them up. Am I right in thinking that this means you no longer need your own personal Facebook account to run adverts?

Or am I misunderstanding? Does anyone know about this?
As my FB accounts often get banned, I’m always open to alternatives.

Does anyone else have the same problem with their Facebook accounts getting banned?
What’s your strategy for dealing with this so you can stay active?

I´m not talking about Ad Accounts or Business Accounts.

Best

I always use my personal account but this is the first time I see this.
Ultimately what I've been doing is to link the professional emails to my personal Facebook account and that also works (so in the business manager you see your professional email in the member section but that email is actually linked to your personal Facebook account. At the end I access Facebook with my personal Facebook account in any case.)

After a few weeks away from work duties, I'm back at work and glad to see this amazing forum stays active!
The MMA works nicely for most of the studios I've worked with in the last few months, but only if you have a business (and its proper documentation).

1. Initial Setup
  • Go to the official Meta for Business page.
  • Log in to your personal Facebook account (this is required to verify your identity as a real person).
  • Click the top-left dropdown menu (under "Home") and select Create a business portfolio. [1, 2, 3, 4]

2. Enter Business Details
  • Business Portfolio Name: Enter your organization's legal or public name without special characters.
  • Contact Name & Email: Enter your name and a valid business email address.
  • Click Create or Create Portfolio.

3. Account Activation & Verification
  • Meta will send a confirmation link to your business email.
  • Open your email inbox and click Confirm Now to finalize your portfolio creation.

Managing and Adding Assets
Once your business account is created, you can easily attach pages, ad accounts, and user access inside the dashboard:
  • To add a Facebook Page: Go to Settings in Meta Business Suite, click Business Assets, and select Add Pages.
  • To add an Instagram Account: Convert your Instagram to a professional or business profile, then connect it by going to Settings > Instagram Accounts.
  • To add new users: Go to Settings > People > Invite to assign roles (like partial or full control).
  • To create new Ad Accounts: Go to Settings > Ad Accounts > Add, and choose Create a new ad account.
